Editorial Guidelines

Daniel Tailored covers sneakers, boots, loafers and dress shoes, what to pair each with, which pairs every man should own, plus watches and everyday jewellery. I run Daniel Tailored on my own, under the pen name Daniel H. Blakely, and this page sets out the standards I hold each article to and how a post gets made now.

Standards for How Posts Get Made

  • Standard: topics start from real searches. Most Daniel Tailored topics begin with what people search on Google and save on Pinterest.
  • Standard: AI writes the first draft. For a researched guide, the drafting tool reads the pages already ranking for that search, usually 5 to 9 of them, and AI writes the first draft from those pages.
  • Standard: figures in researched guides go back to a page. In those drafts, size charts, measurements, fabric content and prices are compared with the pages they came from, and anything that doesn’t match is flagged before I read the post. Idea collections and product roundups don’t go through that comparison.
  • Standard: I read every post. Nothing goes live on Daniel Tailored until I’ve read it and approved it.

Standards for Fit and Sizing

  • Standard: check the brand’s own size chart. Sizes differ between brands, and even between styles from one brand, so measure yourself and compare before you order.
  • Standard: read the care label. Washing and drying tips in an article are general. The label sewn into the garment is the one to follow.
  • Standard: prices and stock move. A piece in an outfit idea may sell out or change price after a post goes live.

Standards for Images and Links

  • Standard: pictures are what they are. Most pictures on Daniel Tailored come from people who share them publicly on Pinterest and Instagram, and each one in a post carries the @handle of the account that shared it, linked to the original post. Pictures made with AI are illustrations of an outfit or a styling idea, not photos of a real person’s wardrobe.
  • Standard: Amazon links are disclosed. Some posts link to products on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. A short affiliate note also sits under the title of each post.
  • Standard: owners can ask. The Copyright, Images & DMCA Notice page explains how image requests work.

Standards for Corrections

  • Standard: tell me, and I’ll fix it. A wrong size tip, a product that has sold out for good or a link that no longer works: send the page link to [email protected] and I’ll correct it.

Who Is Behind Daniel Tailored

I’m one person, based in Vietnam, and Daniel H. Blakely is the pen name I use here. I’m not a professional stylist. What I can promise is that each Daniel Tailored post meets the standards above before it goes live, and that a real person answers at [email protected].
